In November 2000, FC Delco celebrated its 12-year history at the inaugural FC Delco Banquet.  That night's excitement was the induction of the inaugural FC Delco Hall of Fame Class of 2000.  Attended by over 400, the evening was a moving testimonial to the objectives and dreams of the club's founders and players.  Each year since our first event, we continue to honor special players at the FC Delco Hall of Fame Banquet.

 

 

 

 

In 1989, FC Delco was founded to allow the elite players in southeast Pennsylvania an opportunity to compete at the highest level.  It has always been the club's goal to find the toughest competition, and that goal has led to many team rewards such as National and Regional Championships as well as individual accomplishments.  However, to be truthful, this is the dream and desire of many clubs.

 

 

 

 

What sets FC Delco apart from its peers has been the many special players, both on and off the field, that have made the difference.  FC Delco has been extremely fortunate over the years to have had so many quality players who have represented FC Delco in fine spirit.  In order to honor these players, one of our special co-founders, Sam Holt was given the huge task of developing and maintaining the FC Delco Hall of Fame.

 

 

 

 

The Hall of Fame Exhibit, built by Sam Holt, is located in the center of the United Sports Training Center where each member has his/her picture and short biography posted.  Included in the exhibit is a Wall of Fame, which includes pictures of all of our Region Champions, National Finalist and National Champions.  Finally, the Trophy case includes some of our Club mementos as well as a National Championship Cup honoring our five National Champions.

 

 

 

 

Each year, the Hall of Fame Committee (selected by the Board) meets to select new Hall of Fame inductees from nominations submitted by the Board.  Players nominated must be at least four years past their team’s last season of play.  The new inductees will be honored each year at the Annual  FC DELCO Banquet and will have their plaque prominently displayed in the Hall of Fame at United Sports.
