Sunday brought an exciting final at the Jefferson Cup against backyard rival Spirit United for the U-17 FC Delco Hammerheads. The Hammerheads won the championship 4-3 in PK’s. The game ended 0-0 in regulation. The Overtime consisted of two 5 minute periods. The first 5 minute period was scoreless. Spirit United scored a goal with 2 minutes to go in the 2nd overtime and the Hammerheads responded 1 minute later when Alec Weiss drilled home a loose ball in the box to tie the game and send it to PK’s.

Micah Collins made 2 saves in the PKs.  Scoring for the Hammerheads in the shootout was Chris Harmon, Wayne Maminski, Georgie McFarland and Travis Cantrell.
