The Fury came out hustling and controlled the early play, generating several good chances including Laura DiClemente’s shot tipped off the crossbar, and Jess Rosenbluth’s bullet tipped just over the bar by Colorado’s excellent keeper. Play was back and forth thru the balance of the first half, with Colorado coming on late to score with just 2 minutes left in the half. Colorado continued to control the balance of play early in the second half, making it 2-0 about ten minutes in. Delco again generated its own chances, with another shot finding the pipe, and a couple others just wide. Colorado maintained the lead well, however, controlling the ball late in the game as the Fury tried in vain to battle back.   Next up on Thursday for the Fury are the Texas Sting, 2-1 winner’s in today’s opening round against the Illinois Eclipse.
