JACKSON, NJ (March 6, 2010) - FC DELCO’s Under-18s captured three valuable divisional points with a 1-nil win Saturday over NJSA at the Justice Complex in Jackson, NJ. Off to a rocky start back in November, this away victory quickly places DELCO back in the playoff picture. From the off, DELCO dominated possession between the 18s. Although they produced several quality chances, it wasn’t until the 24th minute when DELCO’s Joe Schmid, after receiving a pass from Kyle McCord, pegged a ball 25 yards out besting the keeper to just inside his right post.
That proved all that was necessary to take all three points though late in the game fatigue seemed to open up a few opportunities for NJSA. Quality goal keeping from Keasle Broome and good back line communication sealed the three point putting DELCO back on track.
