      <title>Two FC Delco Alum at MLS Combine in Florida</title>

        <![CDATA[<p style="text-align: justify">Two former FC Delco players, Matt Marcin and Bobby Warshaw are at the MLS Player Combine this week in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida.&nbsp; Matt played with the FC Delco Crunch and now attends Providence&nbsp;College in Rhode&nbsp;Island.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Bobby plays for the Stanford Cardinal and&nbsp;was a member of &nbsp;the Black V.&nbsp; Both Bobby and Matt will show their skills at the Combine until Tuesday and will be involved with the MLS Draft which will be held on Thursday in Baltimore as part of the NSCAA Convention.&nbsp; Good luck to both Matt and Bobby as they jump into the professional ranks.</p>]]>

      <title>U-16  Lightning Girls Alex Cooper Named To ECNL Final Four All Event Team</title>

        <![CDATA[<p style="text-align: justify">Congratulations to Alex Cooper on the U16 Girls Lightning&nbsp;team for making the ECNL Final Four All Event Team.&nbsp;&nbsp; At the Final Four Showcase, 11 clubs placed a pair of players on All-Event Teams as a total of 33 different clubs were represented among the 44 honored players. The Final Four Showcase was the largest event of the 2010-11 ECNL regular season, with 184 teams attending the event.&nbsp; FC DELCO's ECNL teams will continue their 2010/11 regular season with regional games at home on February 12th versus Bethesda Soccer Club and away the weekend of February 19th and 20th versus FC Virginia and Virginia Rush<br />&nbsp;</p>]]>

        <![CDATA[<p style="text-align: justify">FC Delco Academy midfielder, Zach Pfeffer has officially signed with the Philadelphia Union and becomes their first homegrown player.&nbsp; Zach at age 15 becomes the fourth youngest player ever to ink an MLS contract.&nbsp; Zach appearred with the Union back in September&nbsp;against Chivas Guadalahjara at PPL park in an international friendly.&nbsp; In addition, Zach just returned from Germany where he had a two week training opportunity with 1899 Hoffenheim.&nbsp; An official announcement along with several articles can be found on the <a target="_blank" href="http://www.philadelphiaunion.com/">Philadelphia Union</a> website.&nbsp; Congratulations Zach as we hope to see you in the blue and gold soon !</p>]]>

        <![CDATA[<p style="text-align: justify">FC Delco alumnus Jeff Larentowicz&nbsp;has been invited by National Team Coach&nbsp;Bob Bradley to the <a href="http://www.ussoccer.com/News/Mens-National-Team/2010/12/Bradley-Calls-24-Players-Training-Camp-at-The-Home-Depot-Center.aspx">US Men's National Team Camp </a>starting Jan. 4 at the Home Depot Center.&nbsp; The camp is in preparation for the Jan. 22 friendly against Chile.&nbsp; Jeff plays in the central midfield for the Colorado Rapids as was an integral part in the Rapids run through the MLS Playoffs which culminated with the MLS Championship.&nbsp; This is Jeff's second call up to the National Team.&nbsp; We wish the best of luck to Jeff in California !</p>]]>

        <![CDATA[<p style="text-align: justify">FC Delco's most well known alumnus, Ben Olsen, was named the permanent Head Coach of DC United on Nov. 29.&nbsp; Ben originally took over the coaching reins at DC United&nbsp; mid -season on&nbsp;an interim basis&nbsp;after the firing of then coach, Curt Onalfo.&nbsp; Although it was rumored that been would go back as an Ass't. Coach, DC United President Kevin Payne made the decision to bring back Ben after interviewing numerous candidates for the position.&nbsp; At 33, Ben becomes the youngest coach in MLS history.&nbsp; Congratulations Ben and best of luck in the upcoming season.&nbsp; You have made us proud !!</p>]]>

      <title>U-17 Sting Girls Win US Club National Championship</title>

        <![CDATA[<p style="text-align: justify">The FC DELCO Sting 91 girls wrapped up the US Club Soccer U17 Super Group National Championship with a convincing 4-0 win in the finals against California Oddysey. The Sting won every game at Nationals in the pool play and scored early in the final match to set the tone. All games were played at the Hampton Roads Soccer Complex in Virginia Beach, VA.&nbsp; The win gives the Sting a second National Championship in the U-17 season. The Sting won the Red Bull Girls U17 National Championship in May. Congratulations girls.</p>]]>

        <![CDATA[<p align="justify">The nationally prominent&nbsp;soccer magazine, Soccer America has ranked FC Delco as their 10th ranked Boys Club in the country for this season.&nbsp; This is&nbsp; the&nbsp;seventh year in which Soccer America has included the Club in it&rsquo;s top&nbsp;20 Rankings.&nbsp; In Soccer America&rsquo;s initial year of publishing their rankings in 2004, FC Delco was ranked as the top Club in the country.&nbsp; This was followed by a #2 ranking in 2005, #5 in 2006 and #6 in 2007 and 2008 and #7 last year.&nbsp; The rankings are based on a panel of college coaches and other youth soccer experts around the country.&nbsp; To see the Soccer America article and a full list of their top 20 ranking, click on this <a target="_blank" href="http://www.usyouthsoccer.org/news/story.asp?story_id=4811&amp;print=y">Soccer America</a> link.</p>]]>
