Lauderdale, Florida.  Matt played with the FC Delco Crunch and now attends Providence College in Rhode Island.   Bobby plays for the Stanford Cardinal and was a member of  the Black V.  Both Bobby and Matt will show their skills at the Combine until Tuesday and will be involved with the MLS Draft which will be held on Thursday in Baltimore as part of the NSCAA Convention.  Good luck to both Matt and Bobby as they jump into the professional ranks.

The Final Four Showcase was the largest event of the 2010-11 ECNL regular season, with 184 teams attending the event.  FC DELCO's ECNL teams will continue their 2010/11 regular season with regional games at home on February 12th versus Bethesda Soccer Club and away the weekend of February 19th and 20th versus FC Virginia and Virginia Rush

Union as First Homegrown Player 12/22/2010 01:11 PM http://www.fcdelco.org/home/488643.html FC Delco Academy midfielder, Zach Pfeffer has officially signed with the Philadelphia Union and becomes their first homegrown player.  Zach at age 15 becomes the fourth youngest player ever to ink an MLS contract.  Zach appearred with the Union back in September against Chivas Guadalahjara at PPL park in an international friendly.  In addition, Zach just returned from Germany where he had a two week training opportunity with 1899 Hoffenheim.  An official announcement along with several articles can be found on the Philadelphia Union website.  Congratulations Zach as we hope to see you in the blue and gold soon !

]]> http://www.fcdelco.org/home/488643.html FC Delco Alum Jeff Larentowicz Invited to National Team Camp 12/21/2010 09:19 PM http://www.fcdelco.org/home/482206.html FC Delco alumnus Jeff Larentowicz has been invited by National Team Coach Bob Bradley to the US Men's National Team Camp starting Jan. 4 at the Home Depot Center.  The camp is in preparation for the Jan. 22 friendly against Chile.  Jeff plays in the central midfield for the Colorado Rapids as was an integral part in the Rapids run through the MLS Playoffs which culminated with the MLS Championship.  This is Jeff's second call up to the National Team.  We wish the best of luck to Jeff in California !

Coach, DC United President Kevin Payne made the decision to bring back Ben after interviewing numerous candidates for the position.  At 33, Ben becomes the youngest coach in MLS history.  Congratulations Ben and best of luck in the upcoming season.  You have made us proud !!

The clear, crisp skies added to the enthusiam and excitement of the night as the area HS All-Stars and FC Delco U-17 Black and U-18 Galaxy teams showcased their skills to over 60 college programs. The Sting won every game at Nationals in the pool play and scored early in the final match to set the tone. All games were played at the Hampton Roads Soccer Complex in Virginia Beach, VA.  The win gives the Sting a second National Championship in the U-17 season. The Sting won the Red Bull Girls U17 National Championship in May. Congratulations girls.
