Tryout dates for next season are being set over the next few weeks for all FC Delco teams.   Please check our Tryout Page link for updated tryout dates, coaches for next year’s teams and late breaking weather news.  The new U-12 Boys Team will be coached by Mike Gorni with Dave Tordone as Assistant Coach.  The next tryout for this team will be Friday, May 9 at 6:30 at USTC (Rain date is Sat. May 10 5:00 at Rocket Sports-King of Prussia).  The new rising U-12 Girls team coached by Leighton Walters and Merdith Jones will be holding additional tryouts on Wednesday May 7th and Thursday May 8th from 6:30 PN until 8:00 PM.   Please check the Tryout Page for details.

Initial training/tryout sessions for this year’s U-19 Boys team (born after 8/1/1988) will be on Saturday, May 10th, Sunday, May 18th, and Wednesday, May 21st at Immaculata University in Malvern, Pa . All sessions are from 6:00 to 8:00 PM.   Additional sessions will be determined and posted or communicated as soon as possible.   Interested players are urged to contact Coach Dave Tordone for more information.

The 9th Annual FC DELCO Players’ Cup will be held May 23 - 26, 2008 at the United Sports Training Center and other venues. If you are interested in purchasing pre-order Tournament T-Shirts, please return the Pre-Order Form (click on link) no later than Monday May 19, 2008.

Nike and SPARQ have teamed up to set off on a four month tour going to top clubs and schools to test their athletes. The Nike SPARQ Team Challenge will we headed to our area this summer and FC Delco has arranged for its teams to participate in this fun and exciting testing program. The program is scheduled for June 23. 2008, it will begin at 10:00, 2 teams will be scheduled each hour on the hour, the location will be announced once determined. SPARQ which stands for Speed, Power, Agility, Reaction and Quickness "is a training resource that uses a standardized method of testing to provide athletes with and assessment and training tools to help them improve." The FC DELCO Sting U16 girls participated in the inaugural Southern Soccer Showcase in Winston-Salem, NC this past April 12 & 13. Playing in the U17 Elite division, the Sting placed first in bracket play and played Braddock Run U17 Girls in the final. After going scoreless in regulation the teams went to Golden

The U-16 and U-18 Boys are in the beginning stages of their Academy League play.  Each team will play about 30 games with the season concluding in June.  You can see each team’s upcoming scheduling and results by clicking on these links and then clicking on FC Delco under the Mid-Atlantic Division listing.
